Conan O'Brien is the latest rumored replacement for American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Various media outlets report that executives may want O'Brien on the show. According to OK Magazine the follow outlets have made the reports. Irish Central reports: "Idol bosses think he’d be a huge draw now after all that Leno fuss.”
Media Life Magazine reports that the latest rumored replacement is Conan, but if American Idol is months away from choosing something than it’s more than likely false! The Daily Beast reports that Idol insiders said no offer has been made to Howard, he was never even being considered and the show is months away from choosing a replacement for Simon. Simon Cowell the most talked about judge of the hit reality TV show American Idol is said to be leaving the show after this season. Soon after the Brit announced last month that he will be leaving the show judging the American Schedule of The X Factor which is created by him in Britain, speculations went rife with who will be the acerbic judge’s replacement.Firstly it was mentioned that Ryan Seacrest will done the cap pf a judge as well as the host however, the New York Post named a more interesting candidate – Howard Stern.
The Radio Jockey’s contract with Sirius radio ends by January 2011, and he has openly spoken about his future plans in his morning show,“I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down… I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens,” Stern, as quoted by the Post.However, The Daily Beast reports according to the American Idol insiders, Howard was never approached for the job neither was he ever considered. So now with Stern going down it is being speculated that Conan O’Brain who is presently unemployed is being considered for the position of the judge for the American Idol’s next season. But the sources of AI show is not ready to comment on the people who are likely to be considered as the caustic Brit’s replacement, apart from the fact that they have quite a lot of time before zeroing down to anyone.
Cowell confirms that the Idol show offered him a lot of money to stay on however, he states, “But that wasn’t the reason behind it. I wanted to do something different. I wanted a new challenge.”
Hence for the time being it is anyone’s guess on who might be the next Simon Cowell of American Idol Season 10.
