'Despicable Me' one of the best in its genre

The estimated $60 million Steve Carell’s “Despicable Me” pulled in at the box office is one indication that Universal's animated tale of the evil yet loveable villain Gru is a winner, but the “four out of three stars” from one iReporter’s five-year-old bodes even better for the word-of-mouth this movie will have.

But it's not just for kids or fans of animation; if you're a fan of well-told films, said iReporter Al Mealey, you'll be a fan of this movie.

“To put it simply friends, this film from Universal Pictures is not only one of the best films of the year, but it's also one of the best pictures of the CGI Era,” Mealey explained. “I predict this fine movie will get incredible word of mouth, and it would not surprise me if the second release week brings in even more dough then the first.”

Do you agree? Does anyone not like this movie? Inquiring minds want to know.
