ACTRESS Billie Piper appears to blow smoke near her young son's face - in a photo that has outraged health campaigners. The ex-Doctor Who star, 27, seemed shockingly unaware of the dangers of second-hand smoke to children.
Little Winston, who turns two in October, was with his parents at a West London pub this week. Billie was puffing roll-ups made with what appeared to be black liquorice-flavoured papers as she enjoyed a drink and crisps. Actor hubby Laurence Fox, 32, also lit up, but away from their son.
The pictures come soon after the launch of a hard-hitting Department of Health campaign to stop parents from smoking around their children. Amanda Sandford, of anti-smoking charity ASH, said: "Passive smoking is a proven health hazard, particularly for children. "Breathing in smoke can cause asthma, pneumonia and bronchitis in children whose parents smoke."
