Anderson Cooper has spoken out against Vince Vaughn’s pejorative use of “that’s so gay” the trailer for his new film, The Dilemma.

In the film, Vince plays a man who learns that his best friend’s wife is having an affair.

“I was sitting in a movie theater over the weekend and there was a preview of [Vince Vaughn's new] movie, and in it, the actor said, ‘that’s so gay,’ and I was shocked that not only that they put it in the movie, but that they thought that it was okay to put that in a preview for the movie to get people to go and see it,” Anderson said (watch at about 5:45 in the video).

“I just find those words, those terms - we’ve got to do something to make those words unacceptable ’cause those words are hurting kids,” he added.

“Someone else I talked to recently said that the words people use and the things people say about other kids online, it enters into their internal dialogue. When you’re a kid, it can change the way you see yourself and the way you think about yourself - the worth that you give to yourself. I think we really need to focus on what language we’re using and how we’re treating these kids.”

Fox News hosts Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity responded Tuesday to President Obama's criticism of their network.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Obama said Fox News has a point of view that is "ultimately destructive" to the growth of the country.

"How on earth is Fox News hurting the middle class?" O'Reilly wondered aloud during a segment with Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley Tuesday night.

O'Reilly also said Obama criticized Fox because "50 percent of the commentators" on the network disagreed with the president, as opposed to other media outlets who "still love him."

Hannity, though, expressed outrage at the comments, leading his show with his reponse to Obama.

"Once again, we are seeing if you disagree with the president's left-wing agenda, you do so at your own risk," he said, before blasting Obama for his economic and foreign policy.

"Mr. President, this network did not put into place policies that are going to result in higher taxes, higher health care premiums and fewer jobs," Hannity said.

According to RadarOnline.com, Lindsay Lohan’s moment of truth before Judge Elden Fox will be banned from television screens.

The judge has denied media requests to have a camera in the courtroom during Friday’s hearing, preventing a live shot of Lohan’s reaction when the ruling is handed down.

The starlet’s previous judge, Marsha Revel, allowed cameras in the court for the hearing when Lindsay was sentenced to the 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab.

Pat Kelly, spokesperson for Los Angeles Superior Court, told RadarOnline.com: "It's my understanding that Judge Fox has denied cameras in the courtroom for Ms. Lohan's hearing tomorrow."

'Lindsay Does Drugs Because She’s Bored,' Source Says

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan’s problems weren't solved by two weeks in jail, or slightly longer than that in rehab.

By her own admission, she failed a court-ordered drug test last week.

"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," she tweeted on September 17.

But according to one friend, Lindsay is still in denial, and can’t control herself.

"Lindsay does drugs because she's bored,” a pal of the actress told FOX411.com exclusively. “The only reason she’s 'fessing up about her drug use on Twitter now is because she knows that she has 'friends' that will sell her out. People have seen her doing the drugs."

And even though Lohan, 24, made the decision to use drugs after her release from rehab, she still blames others.

"Right now Lindsay is feeling really low -- really terrible,” the pal added. “She's like, "Wow, I got set up again.'"

According to the insider, the actress originally had good intentions. "When she first got out of rehab, she took it seriously. She didn't want to do drugs or get back into that lifestyle," the pal said. "But then, she had all these people around her who were doing drugs in front of her, and that's when she slipped.

"A few weeks ago, I saw Lindsay out, and she was in a weird state of mind. It was terrible. She wasn't her fresh self like when she first got out of rehab. It was like she didn't care anymore.”

But former bodyguard Lee Weaver still holds out hope for the wayward actress.

"Lindsay's a strong girl,” Weaver, who is currently writing a book about his experiences in Hollywood, told FOX411.com. “She will come back -- she just needs to surround herself with good people."

Sources tell TVGuide.com that MTV will introduce new Jersey Shore cast member Deena Nicole Cortese — a friend of Snooki's, natch — to the world Friday(today) during the network's Television Critics Association summer session.

Cortese will be on hand to take questions from reporters when the GTL group takes the stage.

The New Egypt, N.J., native, who has already caught flak for a racy McSpace page and letting loose with the N-word, steps in for exiting castmate Angelina Pivarnick, who will not be returning for Season 3. Cortese, 23, auditioned for the show in Season 1 but didn't make the cut, according to TMZ, which posted her F-bomb-laden audition tape on Thursday night.

Cortese's mother, Joann, told Radar Online that her daughter found her way into the fist-pumping crew through her friend Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. "They've known each other for a couple of years," she said. "I'd say they're pretty close... Nicole lives all the way upstate and it's hard, but they keep in touch."

Cortese attended Brookdale Community College in Lyncroft, N.J., according to The New York Post, which first reported her casting.

While Cortese hails from the Garden State, it's doubtful New Jersey governor Chris Christie will be pleased with her addition. (She described herself on her now-defunct MySpace page as "ADDiCTiVE & ExPENiIV3 LiK3 COCAiNE!") Last month, Christie noted — with a bit of pride —that Jersey Shore had only one New Jersey native in its cast. He told ABC's This Week that the show gives his home state a bad rap. 'Grey's' exec: 'New theme is rebirth'

The creator of Grey's Anatomy has revealed that the new season is about "rebirth".

Speaking to TV Guide, Shonda Rhimes hinted that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will dwell on the miscarriage she had in the last season finale.

"It's possible," she said. "The theme for the entire season of Grey's this year is rebirth, so extrapolate from there."

Rhimes also revealed that the characters will struggle to come to terms with the events of the finale, in which a gunman roamed the halls of Seattle Grace.

"I think they're all taking it pretty hard in their own individual ways," she said. "We talked about it a lot, and the fact that there's this group of people that's been extraordinarily damaged by this experience.

"That's what's going to be carrying them forward, and it will change how they view their jobs, how they view themselves, and view their relationships with one another. A lot of them were about to die. I think they're all fairly damaged and trying to recover."

Grey's Anatomy returns for a new season on September 23 on ABC.

'Mad Men' star 'shocked' by storyline

Mad Men star Alexa Alemanni has admitted that she was shocked by a recent storyline involving her character Allison.

The second episode of the AMC drama's fourth season saw the secretary sleep with her boss Don Draper (Jon Hamm).

"It was pretty shocking," she told the AMC blog. "I think it's so incredibly well-written and it makes sense how it happens. Those scenes are always strange and awkward and you wonder how it's gonna go, but I've been on the show since the beginning so it was really relaxed and comfortable."

Alemanni - who started on the series as an extra - revealed that she was happy that her role had grown over the show's previous three seasons.

"I started as the receptionist and I had a couple of scenes during the [first] season and then I would kind of keep popping up all over the office," she explained. "They just kept bringing me back, which was so exciting."

The actress confessed that she felt intimidated when she learnt that her character would play a more central role in the current fourth season.

"There's a long line of pretty fabulous women that have slept with Don Draper, so you certainly feel that pressure," she said.

Lindsay Lohan is already at UCLA's rehab facility following a brief stint in prison, but her notorious father claims that certain people didn't want it to be that way. In a new interview with Radar Online, Michael Lohan fires away yet again at Lindsay's mother Dina for attempting to cash in on her daughter's fame:

“Dina wanted Lindsay to have a few days to herself between her release from jail and checking into rehab.

“You know why? Because she was trying to line up a million dollar deal.

“The judge wanted Lindsay to go straight to rehab, but Dina wanted to make a money deal... here you have Dina, once again, putting money first instead of the health of our daughter. It isn’t right.”

What sort of "million dollar deal" are we talking about? Lindsay could have very well made an enormous amount of money talking about the arrest in a TV or print interview. As a matter of fact, the price could even escalate if multiple parties broke into a bidding war.

Fox president promises minimal changes to show

Fox held its annual Television Critics Association panel on Monday, and during the proceedings president Kevin Reilly had one message for "Fringe" fans -- don't expect the network to mess around with the show simply because the ratings were weak at times.

Rather, Reilly said (according to Entertainment Weekly) that fans have quite a bit to look forward to in terms of season three:

“We have no intention of screwing with 'Fringe' because the show has been going great. It really came into its own last season. If I have any frustration it’s that I’d like the audience to be bigger because people deserve to see the work.”

Several members of the "Glee" cast will pull double duty on FOX this fall when they lend their voices to "The Simpsons."

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Amber Riley will guest-star in the season premiere on Sunday, Sept. 26. The episode, "Elementary School Musical," has Lisa (Yeardley Smith) going to a performing arts camp where the New Directions kids are fellow campers. Even better: Two of the counselors will be voiced by Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, aka Flight of the Conchords.

After returning home, Lisa becomes frustrated with her suburban lifestyle and heads to Sprooklyn where the cool kids live.

Other guest voices for the 22nd season of "The Simpsons" include "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe and "House's" Hugh Laurie, both of whom will be in the annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode. While some fans have worried that Teddy will continue meddling in their relationship, Raver tells TVGuide.com it ended in the Season 6 finale.

"Outside of the hospital, before he goes back in, I say, 'You have to choose.' That for me was the sad, sad ending," Raver says.

"I think it's going to be refreshing. I do love the Cristina and Owen relationship. The Teddy part of me is extremly sad, but I think it's an interesting place for her to go; to leave that triangle behind and see how she deals with relationships."

Teddy will be moving on quickly, Raver adds, with someone "very handsome and smart."

Last week, "American Idol" fans were surprised to learn that Ellen DeGeneres would not return to judge the show, leaving after only one season at the judges' table. Though the announcement was met with mixed reactions, Jordin Sparks, who won the sixth season of the show, says she thought that once Ellen settled in, the talk show host "caught a good groove."

"I'm surprised because I didn't know until now and because I thought she caught a good groove with the show once she got used to it," she told MTV News in an e-mail. "I'm definitely going to miss watching her. She lit up the room and definitely knew how to break the ice if things got tense."

Now that there are two seats vacant, would Sparks, who has always been a vocal fan of Paula Abdul, want the former judge to step in? "I love Paula and I root for her either way," she explained. "She should come back if she wants to and if the show wants her."

The story centers on a cocky young Wall Street trader who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel his father's darkest secret in order to save his loved ones.

Richard Price is writing a production pass on the original script written by Scott Wiper and John Petro.

The movie is set for a Sept. 6 start in Spain.

Steven Zaillian, Kevin Mann, Matthew Perniciaro and Wiper are executive producing. Spanish producer Galavis Film will co-produce, with Galavis' Jesus Martinez also executive producing.

Summit is distributing domestically and selling international rights.

Cavill, repped by CAA and United Agents, has been gaining stature on the strength of his performance as Charles Brandon on Showtime's "Tudors." We’ve all seen the episode, so let’s just get right down to it and address the green elephant in the room. I’m sure that many of you have strong opinions about Alex and the pea puree.

Here’s what I have to say about it:

First of all, if there’s a single viewer who still wondered whether the judges know what goes on behind the scenes (and make decisions with any of that in mind), I would hope that this incident would have laid that to rest forevermore. This episode surely proves that we judges absolutely never have access to behind-the-scenes conversations or goings-on, as there is no way on earth that we would blithely have judged the dishes as we did this week without delving into the matter of the creator of that puree. We just judge the food on the plates in front of us. Not even I knew about the controversy, even though I spent some time in the kitchen, as I had arrived there after Ed had gone searching for his pea puree and there was no mention of the issue to me by any of the contestants while I was there. The other judges and I first learned about it just as you did, by watching the episode this week, and I was not happy to learn that there had been any question of impropriety. I’m surprised, frankly, that the producers didn’t choose to depart from normal protocol and say anything to us to clue us in about the matter.

I think, though, that the reason for that lay in Ed himself. Watching the episode, I expected Ed to call Alex out on the matter to his face, but he didn’t. Ed may have been concerned that to do so would make him look unsportsmanlike, but I think there’s more to it than that: I think that Ed himself may not have been wholly convinced that Alex took his puree.

Think about it: There are three possibilities, right? 1) Alex may indeed knowingly have stolen Ed’s pea puree and used it; 2) Alex may have made his own pea puree and been wrongly maligned by his co-contestants; or, 3) Alex unwittingly may have mistaken Ed’s pea puree for his own and taken Ed’s, but truly believing that he was using his own. In two of the three possibilities, Alex did not intentionally commit any wrongdoing.

"Clash of the Titans" fought its way through withering critical reviews and a ho-hum domestic box office this spring to become a worldwide hit with almost $500 million in ticket sales. For the upcoming sequel, Warner Bros. is changing up key pieces of the franchise — from bringing in a new director to shooting the movie in 3-D rather than converting it in post-production — in a quest to make the next "Clash" even more successful.

Other aspects of the swords-and-sandals epic will remain the same, including the return of Sam Worthington and, as MTV News has now learned, Gemma Arterton.

"I think I am doing the second 'Clash,' " the 24-year-old actress told us while promoting "The Disappearance of Alice Creed." "I don't know anything about it yet though. It's one of those things."

Arterton went on to give the standard line about how actors that sign on to franchises are optioned for further installments, but in previous interviews, she has indicated that no such deal was in place. In any case, now we know: Arterton will return as Worthington's love interest Io. What's more, she's hoping her character gets to kick a little more ass in the sequel.

"I think she needs to be less mythical and more real and go for the fighting," she said. "It's fun, as well, doing all that stuff."

Dan Mazeau ("The Flash") and David Leslie Johnson ("Orphan") are developing the story with Greg Berlanti ("Green Lantern"), and then Mazeau and Johnson will pen the script. Louis Leterrier is out as director, and the top name mentioned to take over helming duties is Jonathan Liebesman ("Battle: Los Angeles"). The film will be shot with 3-D cameras and is being developed for a release as early as spring 2012.

How 'Inception' Beat 'Salt' At The Box Office

Angelina Jolie spy flick can't overcome the dream thriller's buzz.

Christopher Nolan can't quit winning. His 2005 "Batman Begins" held the top box-office spot for two straight weeks, followed by "The Prestige," which nabbed that slot in 2006. Then along came 2008's "The Dark Knight" with four straight weekend wins.

Was there ever any doubt that "Inception," his new thriller about the world of shared dreams, would tear up the multiplex for a long time?

Actually, there was. After opening to $62.8 million, "Inception" was expected to finish second at this past weekend's box office, giving way to Angelina Jolie's spy flick "Salt." But by the time the weekend was over, the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring "Inception" was once again the top ticket-seller.

Was this a case of Angie faltering or Leo soaring? What exactly went down at the box office?

"Sensational word-of-mouth," said Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations.

No matter how bankable Jolie remains as an action star, "Inception" was riding a wave of critical and audience buzz that could not be defeated.

While most blockbusters fall more than 50 percent in their second weekend, Nolan's flick dropped just 31 percent. As Box Office Mojo points out, a movie in that genre hasn't experienced such a small drop since "The Matrix" in 1999.

Jolie's movie, then, never really had a chance.

" 'Salt' had a solid opening and did exactly what I was expecting of it," said Gitesh Pandya of Box Office Guru.

For a film not based on an existing entertainment property — like "Inception," a real rarity in Hollywood these days — the $36.5 million bow was a very respectable one. We might question the wisdom of scheduling the movie's release so close to that of "Inception," because of the films' potentially similar demographic, but Sony is likely pleased with how "Salt" performed.

"Credit Angelina Jolie and her big guns," Bock said. "She is the only woman in Hollywood right now that can open an action film with such boffo box office."

In the end, though, not even Jolie's guns could subdue all of the positive water-cooler chatter about "Inception."

"The buzz has been incredible, and it has quickly become the must-see event movie of the summer," Pandya said. "I see it eventually outgrossing the latest 'Twilight' film and breaking the $300 million mark in North America alone. This is an old-fashioned case of a good movie selling itself."

Stieg Larsson becomes first author to sell 1m ebooks on Amazon

The late Swedish journalist Stieg Larsson has beaten Stephenie Meyer and James Patterson to become the first author to sell more than one million ebooks on Amazon.

The online retailer said yesterday that Larsson, author of the Millennium trilogy, had become the first member of its new "Kindle Million Club", for authors whose work has sold over a million copies in Amazon's Kindle store in the US. The crime novelist is likely to be joined by thriller writer Patterson – Amazon said last week that it had sold over 860,000 of his ebooks – while Twilight scribe Meyer, Sookie Stackhouse creator Charlaine Harris and queen of romantic suspense Nora Roberts have each sold more than 500,000 Kindle books in the US.

Lindsay Lohan will leave her jail cell in less than a week, and she's looking to score some family time before she starts her mandatory three-month rehab.

"She's a little upset right now," attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said after a visit with Lohan on Tuesday, PEOPLE reports. "She'd like to spend some time with her family, and there's at least some question as to whether or not she'll have to go directly to rehab."

Prosecutors said Tuesday that LiLo must report to a Los Angeles rehab facility within 24 hours of her release from jail, which should be this Sunday or Monday. Chapman is worried that Lohan may have to go directly to rehab with no interim.

"I think it would only be fair for her to spend some time with her family and that's what she'd like for me to emphasize to the judge," Holley said.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate in a press conference for FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, one of the funniest and most outrageous shows on television. The press conference featured all of the show’s main cast, including Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Danny Devito and Mary Elizabeth Ellis. For those who don’t know, Howerton, McElhenney and Day also write the show. The panel was a lot of fun and the cast gave out some good information about the upcoming season. Continue reading to see what the cast had to say.

Rob McElhenney

-Admits that while a lot of episodes are purely fictional, many episodes are inspired by real life events. Stories are inspired by what’s happening in the news and events in the cast’s life.

-Promises that the resolution of Dee’s pregnancy will be something that no one has ever done on TV. (Dee is played by McElhenney’s real life wife, Kaitlin Olson. She is 9 months pregnant.)

-Every year the cast heads down to Philadelphia to shoot exterior shots on location but the rest of the filming of the show takes place in Los Angeles.

Glen Howerton

-The funniest taboo to tackle on the show in his opinion is transvestites.

-Says that the show is not heavily improvised and that he, McElhenney and Day strive to make the scripts feel natural and genuine so that improv is not necessary.

-Decided to write Kaitlin Olson’s pregnancy into the show for the character Dee because it was a fun new taboo for the show to tackle. Says that they worked very hard to put a new spin on sitcom pregnancy conventions.

In the new sci-fi thriller "Inception," Dom Cobb, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is a dream snatcher. He's an industrial spy who steals secrets by means of "extraction" when his victims are at their most defenseless: when they are asleep and dreaming. But he has an even rarer ability, that of "inception": He can plant an idea in someone's sleeping mind, and watch the dreamer act on it when he awakens. "The most resilient parasite is an idea," he says.

"Inception" lies somewhere between a James Bond film and "The Matrix." But it does contain some science. Here's a spoiler-free guide to the movie's take on dreams and the unconscious mind.

Is it possible to directly access someone's dreaming mind?

In the movie, the dream snatchers use a drug called somnacin and a dream machine to upload a scenario into someone's sleeping mind. One or more of the dream snatchers hook themselves up to the machine, go to sleep themselves and enter the target's dream. This fictional dream machine is called a Portable Automated Somnacin IntraVenous (PASIV) Device.

A device already exists that can effectively read someone's mind. A functional MRI scanner takes snapshots of brain activity, and then software re-creates images of what the subject was looking at. Researchers say it has the potential one day to record someone's dream -- without the mess and danger (or the fun) of actually sharing that dream.

Using a drug like somnacin to access a sleeping mind is not possible, but there are drugs that can drastically modulate our sleep. These include modafinil, which can promote continuous wakefulness, and new classes of sleeping pills that can deliver "super sleep," in which, for instance, four hours of sleep can equate to six.

How can I control my dreams?

The easiest way to experience a lucid dream -- in which the sleeper is aware he or she is dreaming and can actively participate in the dream -- is to train yourself to ask, "Am I dreaming?" while you are asleep. Keen video gamers, probably because they focus on a single task for hours per day, are particularly good at lucid dreaming.

The dream team of "Inception" is highly trained at this, which may be why they are able to perform complex tasks while asleep, such as reading, which most normal lucid dreamers find difficult. Some of the characters in the movie have also militarized their dreamscapes, adding protectors, to guard themselves against invasive dream snatchers.

Do dreams have to obey the laws of physics?

This is a fondly debated topic, and "Inception" has it both ways. Sometimes impossible things happen -- in one dream Paris gets folded like a huge sheet of paper -- and optical illusions become "real." The endless staircases created by M.C. Escher, for example, exist in "Inception" dreams thanks to a manipulation something like those that occur in 3-D virtual environments.

However, the "Inception" dreams follow some real-life rules. As writer and producer Jeff Warren wrote about his own dream investigations: "Without sensory input, consciousness appears to behave in predictable ways. Informal laws can be deduced, for example, the 'law of self-fulfilling expectations' (what you expect to happen will happen), the 'law of narrative momentum' (linger too long in one place and the dream world begins to fray)."

In "Inception," the dream world "frays" when external influences from the real world intrude.

What is the function of dreams?

Freud thought that dreams expressed our repressed desires. And so they do, sometimes, but much modern research suggests that dreams help in information processing and memory storage.

Dreams occur in both rapid-eye movement (REM) sleep and non-REM sleep. REM dreams are more storylike, with emotion and aggression; non-REM dreams often involve friendly social interactions. People with depression often experience more REM sleep than non-depressed people.

How does subjective time pass in a dream?

In "Inception," dream time runs much more slowly than real time, and there is a scaling effect, such that if you dream within a dream, time passes even more slowly. So five minutes of real time equals one hour of dream time, a five-minute dream inside a dream equals one week of real time, and so on.

This is perhaps the cleverest part of the movie, but though intuitively pleasing, there is little evidence for it. In fact, there is some evidence that in lucid dreams, at least, the perception of time is similar to what it is when the dreamer is awake.

A more pressing question for researchers is what happens when our brain's time perception goes faulty. In fact, the illusion of time passing may be created by the brain itself, which is at least as much of a head-scratcher as the plot of "Inception."

At first, both "Paranormal Activity 2" and "Saw 3D" had the same release dates (October 22, 2010). In order to "play it safe" Lionsgate pushed pushed back the release date of "Saw 3D" from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29.

Last October, "Saw VI" opened on the same weekend that "Paranormal Activity" played in a nationwide release for the first time and grossed a disappointing $14.1 million, compared to $21.1 million for "Paranormal." Executives at Lionsgate apparently decided they would rather concede the Oct. 22 date than repeat the same experience.

The date added insult to injury after Paramount attempted to recruit Keven Greutert, the director of "Saw VI," to helm "Paranormal Activity 2." According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan got strip searched at Lynwood Correctional Facility and the lawyers want her to spill every detail of the experience in a deposition.

TMZ has learned Lindsay's name just got dragged into a class action lawsuit that alleges unlawful strip and body cavity searches were conducted by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies when another inmate -- not Lindsay -- checked into the jail.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs filed a request in Federal Court on Monday to take Lilo's deposition while she's behind bars. They also sent a letter to Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley asking if Lindsay would agree to be deposed.

The suit claims that female inmates are strip searched in plain view of each other in a parking lot that is neither private nor sanitary.

Sheriff's officials have said Lindsay was treated just like any other inmate when she arrived at the jail.

So, will Lindsay tell all? Chapman Holley hasn't gotten back to us yet.

Weeds star Mary Louise Parker is here at Comic Con promoting the Showtime series, which returns for its sixth season on August 16th. We had the opportunity to speak with her about what’s to come for the series and her character Nancy Botwin.

Parker wasn’t shy in expressing her disappointment in the series’ fifth, but she did sound optimistic about Season 6, stating, “Last season, to me, was kind of boring, but this season to me is much more interesting and funnier.” She went on to say that the eighth episode of the upcoming season is a good one and that the second episode is one of her favorite episodes ever. So there’s that to look forward to!

As for that little incident with Shane in the final minute of last season’s finale, Parker didn’t offer any major spoilers there but she did confirm that we won’t have to wait long to find out what she does to handle the situation. “You discover that pretty early on,” She said. “That’s pretty clever, how the writers deal with that.”

And speaking of season finales, sure, it’s a bit early to be talking about how the sixth season’s going to end but apparently, something shocking is coming. “I just read the season finale yesterday, and I was like… Ok! Well, alright. So that’s good. I still, honestly am kind of recovering from it. It’s kind of intense. “

Given how scattered everyone seemed in the previous season, I asked her if we’d see the Botwins a bit more rooted in Season Six. Parker stated that there was no rooting going on for the family, so if you were hoping to see them return to suburbia and settle down in one of those little boxes, it doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards anytime soon.

Finally, Parker didn’t seem all that interested in having her character be more sympathetic. “I never really thought about sympathy when I play a character. I feel like when you do that, you kind of rob the character of their flaws and the flaws are what make someone human and that’s what makes someone interesting.”

Well, interesting is definitely a word to describe Nancy Botwin!

Lindsay Lohan may not be doing much in jail, but she's got a plan to bank a boatload of dough once she's set free.

According to Fox 411, before beginning her jail stint, Lohan managed to lock down post-sentence tell all interviews that will earn her seven figures. Expect a major TV sitdown once Lohan's false eyelashes and hair extensions are back in place.

Lohan's gotten a lot of visitors in her first few days at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. On Thursday, ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson stopped by. The day before, Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, and younger sister Ali paid her a visit. The pair were videotaped entering the detention center that afternoon.

Jail life's not easy for Lohan. According to TMZ.com, the starlet's struggling to find drinkable water, and according to People magazine, she's stuffed in a cell block with convicted murderers and felons. She's not allowed to smoke; her makeup's not welcome.

Lohan's lawyer maintains the actress is "doing the best she can."

Shawn Chapman Holley, who saw the startlet Tuesday, told People magazine that Lohan's "spirits aren't high" and she is "having a difficult time adjusting."

"She's trying to make the necessary adjustments to an extremely stressful and difficult situation," Holley said. "There were some tears. ... She's doing the best she can."

Former inmate Tiffany Hawes, who was being released as Lohan was entering the facility, told Britain's Daily Mail: "Lindsay was crying when she came in. She was handcuffed but seemed calm. We all started saying, 'God bless you Lindsay,' and saying 'Hi' to her and then she smiled at us."

Q: Leo, what was the best and worst part of this strange role?

Leonardo DiCaprio: Well look, this was an extremely ambitious concept that Chris was trying to pull off, and he accomplished it with flying colors. There’s not too many directors who would pitch to Hollywood, you know, an existential high-action surreal film that’s locked in somebody’s mind and get the opportunity to do that. So for me, it was a matter of sitting down with Chris and being really able to form the backbone of a character having a real cathartic journey, and to create a scenario that seemed like a giant therapy session! And at the end of the day, these different layers of the dream, like psychoanalysis, and having him getting deeper and closer to the truth about himself. So that in its own right is immediately intriguing, and some of the sequences at the end, [they] start to get very disturbing at times. So as we would talk about my character, it all became more and more exciting. And the toughest sequences…I think that when I had to run through that crowd in Morocco I felt like a pinball, because I was bouncing from Moroccan to Moroccan. And falling into various vending machines! So that was a little bit tough.

Tom is not listed as "Special Guest" for the event, so we are unaware if he will be one of the many stars offering autographs for purchase. However, this is a fairly last minutes announcement so that could change.

The "Deathly Hallows" presentation will be on this Saturday, July 25th at 11:45 PST. According to a previous statement, the WB is scheduled to show "fresh footage" of this final chapter of the "Harry Potter" saga.

It seems as two our community’s most prolific and credible writers John Campea and El Mayimbe, one of the guys over at Latino Review, have both heard that Adrien Brody is being sought after for the role of Hank Pym in Marvel Studio’s Ant-Man movie to be directed by Edgar Wright, after he makes his first appearance in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers.

I really like Brody in the role more so than Fillion and think he has the look and ability to play someone like Pym, a scientific genius. I actually had Dave Tennant as my original choice thinking that his role as Doctor Who was very similar to Pym but Brody is a little more suited for sure.

'Inception' ending solved by 'Lost' creator

The man behind one the most confusing series on television has attempted to solve one of the most confounding films ever made.

Damon Lindelof, co-creator and executive producer of the late epic series "Lost," took to Twitter Monday to try and explain the open-ended conclusion to "Inception."

The producer had previously commented that he wished Christopher Nolan's psychological dreamscape had been his own brain child.

"I wish that someone would break into my dreams and give me an idea HALF as good as INCEPTION," he tweeted on Saturday.

The film, which premiered last week, has divided critics over its refusal to clearly divide dreams and reality, down to the last moment.

"Inception" stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Dom Cobb, a man who steals dreams for corporate espionage and is given the job of implanting an idea for the first time ever.

At the end of his travels through various dream/real states, Dom has chosen a spinning top - a "totem" - to represent his connection to reality.

The character has been told that if the top keeps spinning, the dream world is still in effect. But if it stops, he's living in reality.

Nolan stops short of telling the audience what exactly happens to that top, but Lindelof has an idea.

"There is a THIRD possibility -- It neither stopped...nor kept spinning," he tweeted. "The story ended before either could happen."

After the world was offered the opportunity to watch Lindsay Lohan break down in tears after being sentenced to 90 days in jail on July 6, the public won't be able to see Lohan get handcuffed and taken into custody.

Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel has issued the following restrictions for her court room on July 20:

• Cameras must stop rolling when the judge announces she is remanded and the bailiff is instructed to take her into custody.
• No one is allowed to shoot Lohan being handcuffed.
• Photos of Lohan must be restricted to when she’s at the counsel table.

Shawn Chapman Holley stated earlier that the media's ability to broadcast every word uttered, note taken and fingernail expletive waved during Lohan’s sentencing highlighted her perspective that Lohan is being treated differently than others would be in similar circumstances.

“The fact is, the words [on Lohan’s nail] could barely be seen by the naked eye,” Holley said in a statement. “That a courtroom camera, purportedly there to accurately chronicle the proceedings, would use a telephoto lens to zoom in as it did to Ms. Lohan's fingernail is a commentary on the entire issue.”

At this point, however, Lohan has a new attorney: Robert Shapiro is officially representing the 24-year-old star, but it doesn't look like he's going to help her get out of jail.

“I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all of the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel," Shapiro said in a statement.

"Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with," Shapiro went on. "Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan’s long term recovery and sobriety.”

Tom fought for Toy Story 2 release

Tom Hanks has revealed that Toy Story 2 nearly didn't make it into cinemas.

The Oscar-winning actor told the Daily Mirror that Disney had originally planned to send the sequel to 1995 hit Toy Story straight to DVD, and that it only reached the big screen after pressure from himself and Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear.

Tom, who voices cowboy Woody again in the upcoming third movie, said: "Tim and I and everybody else connected with it wanted to know why. We said it should be released as a film because it was magnificent and as good as the first one. Usually sequels are pale imitations and are slapped on video but this was really great.

"Eventually they bowed to some brand of common sense, so now we have Toy Story 3 and will there be a fourth Toy Story? Why not?"

Tom said the success of the films is due to the fact that the characters haven't been tampered with.

The star said: "They're still exactly who they are. Every movie begins with them waiting for Andy their owner to come into the room to play with them."

'Despicable Me' one of the best in its genre

Hayao Miyazaki Compares iPad Use To Mast*rbation

Hayao Miyazaki is the greatest animator alive. And he does not like the iPad.

Noted for Studio Ghibli classics like My Neighbor Totoro, Miyazaki has stated that he rarely watches TV, does not own a computer or a fax and doesn't even own a DVD player. Instead of e-mail, he writes letters. He also makes wonderful films.

In an interview in the July issue of "Neppuu", the Studio Ghibli published pamphlet, the famed animator does not pull any punches when discussing the iPad, or what he calls the "game machine-type thing" that people are "stroking with strange gestures".

"For me, there is no feeling of admiration or no excitement whatsoever," Miyazaki said about the iPad. "It's disgusting. On trains, the number of those people doing that strange masturbation-like gesture is multiplying."

Miyazaki also noted that he also got "fed up" when everyone on the trains started reading manga and then later when everyone began using cell phones on the trains to presumably send text messages.

He might seem like an eccentric technophobe, but he is coming from an "All I need are pencil and paper" point-of-view. That might all he need. He's Hayao Miyazaki! And with those simple tools, he can create brilliance. But not everyone is talented as Miyazaki.

Studio Ghibli, his animation company, is currently working on a Nintendo DS and PS3 game called "Ni no Kuni". Miyazaki is not directly involved with these projects.

How Much Is a Pint of Milk?
In what currency? I don't even use pints! I'm going to go with two dollars. A gallon of milk is four dollars, if you get decent milk

On a scale of one to ten how famous are you?
(Laughs) That's pretty awesome. Like Tom Cruise is ten? I'd be a two. Seriously. Although, I get recognized in the supermarket in LA a lot, weirdly enough. That's where I get spotted the most. I think all the people who work there want to be actors so they notice me.

What one thing do you do better than anyone else you know?
I'd probably say act, man. I trust my self with that. It's not an arrogant thing

What's your favorite animal?
Probably cats. I've got two cats. I was a dog person until I met my girlfriend ten years ago. She introduced me to cats and I totally fell in love with them. I've got one that's like a real teddy bear that you just pick up and she wants to be loved and cuddled all the time. The other one is more sporty and cool, and does her own thing She does ridiculous jumps, nine times her own height from a standing position.

What's you favorite word in the English language?
Well, I know what Wikus (his District 9 character) favorite word his!(Laughs)I don't have one really

What's you favorite joke?
Rampage (Jackson) reminded of a joke we used on the A-Team that didn't make it into the the final cut. It's a thing that Murdock does when he's going to fight someone and he says "I know Mexican judo, man. Judon't know I got a knife, judon't know I got a knife chico?"

If you had to, would you rather lose an arm or a leg?
I cannot believe you just asked me that!(Laughs) You know you have a friend who does that kind of thing- "Would you rather kiss a man or have sex with that women over there?" that sort of stuff? Well I've been asking people that! Would I rather lose an arm or a leg? I'm going to go with arm. Why? Dude, you need your legs, man. You need to move around. To not be able to move around would really have an impact on my life.

Window or aisle?
I'll take aisle. But in first class it doesn't matter! (Laughs)

What's your favorite video game?
Interestingly enough, the game I played the most ever was Street Fighter II, back in the day. That would probably still stick as one of my favorite games. Just being a bit of an 80's guy.

What's the best thing you've ever stolen from a hotel?
A robe once, when I was younger and poorer.

When did you last walk out of a movie?
That's a very good question. I walked out of... was it Stardust? That thing with the witches? I was so looking forward to it, but I just couldn't handle it, man. Ten minutes in and I was gone. I didn't have to walk out of Transformers 2 because I didn't go. I loved the first Transformers. I LOVED it, but I heard too many of my friends walked out of the second one.

The iPad- genius or rubbish?
I think it's sitting somewhere in between. Someone told me you can't put a memory stick into it. They've purposefully not let put memory sticks so it doesn't replace the laptop which seems odd- it seems that the marketing got in the way of the genius.

Have you worn sunglasses indoors?
I'm wearing sunglasses right now and I'm indoors. But I got to sleep 3 in the morning and I am look out at a very glary day. But generally no, I"m not a sunglasses kind of guy.

When were you most starstruck?
Probably meeting Dwight Schultz, man, weirdly enough. Him and maybe Dustin Hoffman. I'm a huge fan of Dustin Hoffman. The two Ds

Do you have a nickname?
Different people call me different things. In America, people really struggle with my name, so I don't have a nickname as such. I've been called Sharlito, Sheldon, Charldo, really variations on the name. Some of them can get it but many can't.

What's you specialist subject?
I don't imagine I'd be very good at quizzes, but I'd go with movies. And TV shows. Lets narrow it down to the 80s My specialist subject is the A-Team! (Laughs)

How many times did you see Avatar?
Once. I liked it, but I got to watch it in the Fox theatre and see James Cameron's actual print of the movie. It was just me and my girlfriend- I think we were that last two people on Earth who hadn't see it, and Fox said we could come and watch it in the theatre. It was an awesome experience. I love James Cameron's stuff.

What's your signature dish?
It's a toss-up between my roast chicken and my beef stroganoff. Well, they're basic foods. I don't get too fancy. I'm Jamie Oliver kind of basic. I could not cook at all until two-and-a-half years ago, when I got a Jamie Oliver cookbook and started going through it. So thanks Jamie!

What's your favorite thing about you hometown?
The heart and soul of the place, in Cape Town

On a scale of one to ten, how hairy is your arse?
I love that. I got the Fox guy cracking up here!(Laughs) Probably a... six? Maybe a seven? Maybe a six and a half? You'd have to ask my girlfriend. I'm a pretty hairy guy in general, but my arse is actually alright! Six-and-a-half on the hairy arse, two on the fame. Maybe we could get those balance off a bit!

AT&T threatens to drop AMC before 'Mad Men' debut

AT&T is threatening to drop its carriage of AMC, which could spell trouble for "Mad Men" fans.

In the latest carriage dispute, AMC parent company Rainbow Media Holdings alerted its AT&T U-Verse customers they may lose AMC, WE and IFC once its contract with video operator expires on July 14 ("Mad Men" returns July 25).

Of course, these disputes have a way of getting customers all riled up, only to be solved right at the last minute.

'True Blood' showrunner Alan Ball doing new pilot for HBO

HBO might be doubling up on Alan Ball series. The "True Blood" showrunner got the go-ahead on a new pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ball hopes to adapt a series from the novel "The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death" by Charlie Huston. And -- no surprise here -- it's all about death.

"Mystic Arts" follows Webster Goodhue, an out-of-work teacher who takes a job cleaning up death sites. The unusual career eventually finds him embroiled with some seriously shady characters.

And that's not the only high profile pilot cooking over at HBO. EW.com reports that both Lee Pace ("Pushing Daisies") and Linus Roache ("Law & Order") are on board the Kathryn Bigelow-directed pilot for "Magnificent Year." The New York-set family drama already features Hope Davis and Frank Langella, as well as Broadway stars Patti LuPone and Eddie Redmayne.

‘Inception’ Action Influenced by James Bond

Christopher Nolan talks about his latest film

Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Inception, follows a group of thieves who take secrets from other people’s dreams.

Nolan said that the sci-fi thriller is intentionally influenced by James Bond because to him, Bond signifies grand-scale action.

Similarly to the Bond films, Inception was filmed in a variety of locations, like Morocco, Japan, France and Canada, according to BBC News.

Nolan, who also directed Memento, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, described the Bond movies as films that stood for the promise of being taken to some place bigger than you could have imagined.

He thereby compared the films to his newest directorial effort.

“By the end of the film you feel that Inception could go anywhere and do anything,” he said.

The cast of Inception includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Michael Caine and Marion Cotillard.

Critics have commended the film for its mixture of intense action sequences and emotional charge. Some have called it Nolan’s “masterpiece.”

Inception opens in theaters nationwide July 16.

Wonderwall stayed up late last night to attend the launch of our new sister site, Glo, at the Cooper Square hotel in New York City and bumped into our favorite Olympic figure skater, Johnny Weir! The always personable Mr. Weir gabbed our ears off about his burgeoning music career, how he'd style Lady GaGa and his style advice for spring.

Wonderwall: We heard you're working on your first single, is that true?

Johnny Weir: Yes. I'm working with Lucian Piane [known online as RevoLucian]. He's RuPaul's producer. He put together a song for me called "Dirty Love," after he saw me skate in the Olympics. We're currently going over some lyrics and fixing things up a bit and after everything's finished in May I'm actually going back out to L.A. and starting to record it.

Wonderwall: Awesome. Can you describe your music a little bit?

JW: It's kind of techno-pop. A little bit Lady GaGa mixed with the Scissor Sisters mixed with Sam Sparro.

Wonderwall: Are those artists the kind of music you generally listen to?

JW: Absolutely, I mean Lady GaGa I think everyone in the world listens to, whether you're a pop fan or a country fan, everyone likes Lady GaGa.

Wonderwall: You've also been wanting to branch out and do more designing. Which celeb would you most like to dress?

JW: I'd love to dress Lady GaGa.

Wonderwall: What would you put GaGa in?

JW: I'm a big fan of fur. I don't know if she actually wears fur or not but I'm a big fan of fur so something with a giant, weird fur headpiece, almost to make her look like [shes wearing] the traditional Russian hats for their folk dancing, but we'd make it bigger and put some kind of bird sitting on top. Something like that. But I want to make real clothes too, I don't want to make just costumes.

Wonderwall: Are there trends with mass appeal right now that you're in favor of or opposed to?

JW: I hate the whole farmer chic thing that's going on. I don't like that Chanel did their show in a barn setting with hay. It's not a good style. And I'm from the country and if anyone should like that style it's me and I'm definitely not a fan of that. I really like when people look different, even if they go to a vintage shop somewhere and get a T-shirt that's 50 years old, it's better than going to the Gap and looking the same as everyone else. That's the thing that I hate the most. Anything that's really mass produced like a J. Crew or a Banana Republic or an Abercrombie, something like that, I really hate.

Wonderwall: Can you share an example of something in your upcoming memoir that wasn't covered in the press?

JW: Well, the book is going to be about me and my story and how I got to where I am. I'm going to deal with some of my past relationships, sexual and not. I'm going to talk about the politics and the behind-the-scenes dealings of figure skating which, even though people don¹t necessarily think of it when they're watching figure skating, it's definitely there. Because of politics I wasn't an Olympic medalist so there's a lot that I have to talk about.

Wonderwall: Can you give our readers a word of spring style advice?

JW: I think people don't take enough risks. People are very hung up on the way they appear to other people. If there's too much boob, too much leg, too much need of a man girdle -- a mirdle. Rock your own style and never be afraid to fall down. Even if you look ridiculous one day, you'll fix it the next day. There's no harm in having fun.

On his character Jason Stackhouse being so far removed from his own personality: “I’m a pretty down-to-earth, private kind of guy. "The Strangers" Sequel is Moving Forward

Bloody-Disgusting has learned that Relativity Media is finally moving forward with the sequel to their home invasion hit The Strangers. The studio is planning to begin casting very soon. The plan is still to bring back Liv Tyler.

The sequel is written by Brian Bertino (The Strangers) and will be directed by Laurent Briet. The plot is being kept a secret, but it is rumored that the story will take place in an abandoned trailer park.

The original film was made for $9 million and went on to earn over $82 million in worldwide ticket sales.

Oprah Winfrey to host new global evening show

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Oprah Winfrey will try to recreate her daytime success in the evening with a new show she will host from around the world next year after ending her reign as daytime talk-show queen after 25 years, her network said on Thursday.

The new series will be called "Oprah's Next Chapter" and will take Winfrey to India, China and elsewhere, said the Oprah Winfrey Network, or OWN, the Los Angeles-based cable TV venture she formed with Discovery Communications Inc.

Scheduling and details for the new prime-time series have not been finalized, a network spokeswoman said, but the show likely will air two to three times a week and debut in late 2011. Winfrey will interview a range of people from celebrities to politicians to newsmakers in other countries.

The show was one of five new series announced by OWN. Others included a reality show about country singer Shania Twain, a one-hour series hosted by Winfrey's best friend, Gayle King, and an arts series that will spotlight among others singer Lady Gaga and director James Cameron.

The 24-hour network is set to be seen in 70 million homes and will start in January.

The U.S. talk show host announced in November on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that she would end her popular daytime show because it "feels right." The top-rated daytime show is broadcast from Chicago on ABC stations across the United States and in more than 140 countries.

It became one of TV industry's biggest money-makers and helped Winfrey, 56, amass a fortune estimated by Forbes magazine at $2.3 billion.

O'Brien embarks on post-`Tonight' comedy tour

LOS ANGELES – Laughter is the goal when a comedian steps in front of an audience. Conan O'Brien is in pursuit of that and more: the next stage of his career.

The former "Tonight" host, barred from appearing on TV until September by terms of his exit deal from NBC, kicks off a nationwide tour Monday in Eugene, Ore., that could highlight his popularity amid negotiations for a new talk show.

Dubbed "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour," the two-month venture will take O'Brien, his former "Tonight" band and sidekick Andy Richter to about 30 U.S. and Canadian cities.

O'Brien is set to appear at Phoenix's Dodge Theatre April 30.

It's virtually sold out and extra dates have been added in a handful of larger markets. Many tickets were priced at a relatively low $40, although the resale market has boosted their value to, for example, as much as $2,000 for VIP seats and face time with O'Brien in Chicago.

His tour ranked as the top-seller on StubHub when it was announced last month, "which is unheard of for a comedian," said Glenn Lehrman, spokesman for the online ticket site. The No. 1 spot usually goes to a sports event or big-arena pop concert, he said.

That makes O'Brien look like a winner — and a rock star — as he angles to return as a TV host, with Fox considered the most likely home among possibilities that also include a cable channel or a syndicated package.

"It's pretty impressive he sold out a national tour" so quickly, said Garth Ancier, a veteran TV executive who served as the first programming chief for Fox. "That says there's a fan base he's connected to, and demonstrates to Fox and anybody else his viability as a draw."

The stage shows are proof that "people will pay money to see him," said industry analyst Shari Anne Brill. "Which means he can make money for a network."

Mark Metzger, general manager for Fox affiliate KLSR-TV in Eugene, is rooting for O'Brien's success on the road. While Metzger is eager to welcome the comedian to Fox's late-night lineup, a number of other affiliates are reluctant to give up profitable sitcom reruns to make room for him.

The tour could change minds, Metzger said.

"I think it would influence the other affiliates, with him going to cities and selling out theaters," he said.

Fox, which has said it's weighing the possibility of bringing O'Brien to the network, declined comment on whether a deal might be near.

O'Brien, whose early career included writing for "The Simpsons," is trying out a new role as standup. While he has long performed monologues and sketches on TV, he didn't spend years honing a comedy club act like Leno, who started on the circuit and has remained on it even during "Tonight."

A former O'Brien colleague dismisses any possibility of flop sweat.

"He's gonna kill. The people who are going to come out and see him on the road are the very small subset (of the TV audience) who are fanatics," said writer-producer Alec Berg ("Seinfeld," "Curb Your Enthusiasm"), who wrote for O'Brien during his first year as host of NBC's "Late Night," O'Brien's pre-"Tonight" job from 1993-2009.

Besides, Berg said, "he is, in person, face to face, phenomenally funny."

A number of O'Brien's shows are in college towns, home to the young adult crowd that he attracted to NBC and that helped rally support for "Team Coco" during his battle with the network. He'll play two nights at New York's Radio City Music Hall and at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, near the studio where he spent eight months with "Tonight."

O'Brien has been milking the tour itself for laughs.

"It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house," the pompadoured beanpole said when the gig was announced. The news release promised a "night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence."

He declined all interviews, and has since communicated on Twitter with postings such as this one Thursday: "4 days to my first show. Eugene Oregon Brace yourself for a towering tsunami of dry, self-deprecating humor."

A tweeted O'Brien joke that would qualify: "I'm confused by the new census form. There's no box for `Sickly White.'"

(He's expected to avoid mocking NBC, which he did relentlessly in his final days on "Tonight," because of a non-disparagement stipulation regarding the network. O'Brien reportedly also surrendered rights to such comedy bits as Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog.)

O'Brien isn't touring for the money, said a person familiar with his plans, speaking on condition of anonymity because O'Brien's representatives had not authorized public comment.

The person noted the modest ticket prices — less than promoters recommended — and the bookings at mostly small or midsize theaters (Eugene's Hult Center for the Performing Arts holds about 2,500). O'Brien will also play a handful of large stages, such as the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

O'Brien is unlikely to be short of cash. He received a $32 million payout when he left NBC rather than move "Tonight" to midnight to make room for Jay Leno after his failed prime-time show. O'Brien's departure allowed Leno to reclaim "Tonight," which has regained viewers lost under O'Brien.

One motivation for him to hit the road is his desire to give employment to the staff and crew he brought from New York to Los Angeles when he took over "Tonight," insiders have said.

The tour should yield a "a nice profit," according to Gary Bongiovanni, editor-in-chief of Pollstar, a California-based trade publication on the concert industry. Live Nation is among the promoters.

"In general, there's probably nothing more economical to produce than a comedy show," said Bongiovanni. "I don't know if he's lugging along sets, but they should fit in one truck."

The outcome already is clear to Berg and David Mandel, his fellow "Curb Your Enthusiasm" executive producer and "Seinfeld" alum.

"To me, it's a victory tour," said Mandel. "I know he lost `The Tonight Show,' but in a weird way, it's a victory tour."

"I agree. I think he's better off" with "Tonight" behind him and the new TV show that's undoubtedly ahead, Berg said. "It's the first time he's not going to be wearing a shoe that was someone else's."
